Conservative dentistry

The aim of conservative dentistry at Edent Wrocław is to ensure that patients can enjoy their own healthy teeth for as long as possible. The treatment of teeth affected by decay or other damage is based on modern, minimally invasive techniques that preserve the natural tissues of the tooth. Thanks to the advanced materials used in our practice, we achieve durable and aesthetic results that faithfully mimic the natural appearance of teeth.

When is it worth choosing conservative treatment?

Conservative treatment is recommended in cases of caries, mechanical trauma to teeth, tissue abrasion or discolouration problems. At Edent Wrocław, we provide each patient with an individual approach, adjusting the treatment methods to their needs. Thanks to modern dental materials, we can effectively restore even very damaged teeth. In cases where more advanced treatment is required, we suggest prosthetic solutions.

How does the treatment look like?

Each treatment starts with the administration of local anaesthesia, which guarantees full comfort to the patient. Then, cofferdam is applied, which isolates the treated tooth from the rest of the oral cavity, improving the quality of treatment, reducing discomfort associated with drying of the mucous membranes and eliminating contact with chemical substances used during treatment.
In order to increase the accuracy of the work performed, we use magnifying glasses and microscopes to magnify the treatment area.Using the most modern composites for tooth reconstruction, we achieve very high durability and aesthetics of the fillings.

Root Canal Treatment - endodontics

If the infection has reached deep into the roots of the tooth, root canal treatment may be necessary. This involves removing infected tissue from the root canals and then filling them with specialised material. This treatment protects the tooth from further complications and allows it to remain in the mouth for a long time.

Pregnant patients

The use of local anaesthetics and medications in pregnant women is safe – preparations without vasoconstrictive effects are then used. It is important that the patient informs the doctor that she is pregnant.
During the first trimester, special care should be taken with regard to the use of analgesics. Paracetamol in therapeutic doses is recommended for short-term use. For acute infections, the doctor may prescribe an antibiotic, preferably from the penicillin or cephalosporin group. Tetracyclines, sulphonamides or aminoglycoside antibiotics must absolutely not be used during pregnancy and lactation.
